Larry Bosley, Founder, President, and CEO
Larry brings a very decorated and diverse background to his role as President
and CEO of LGB Properties. In his "first" career, Larry spent 35 years in public
education; briefly as a teacher before spending 10 years as principal of
Woodrow Wilson High School in Bucks County before moving his family to
Kennett Square where he spent the last 20 years of his career, mostly as
Superintendent of Schools for the Kennett Consolidated School District. Along
with running the school district, one of Larry's main duties was to oversee the
buildings and grounds of the school. He lead the expansion and renovation of
three schools and learned the subdivision and land development process of local
municipalities in the meantime.
After retirement from the school district, Larry spent five years performing
educational consulting and selling of educational software. In 2005, upon his
desire to spend less time traveling and more time at home, Larry focused on
growing a young, fledgling LGB Properties. He holds a Bachelor of Science
Degree from Edinboro University, where he was also quarterback of the football
team. He holds post graduate degrees in education from Temple University
(Master's) and Rutgers University (Doctorate).
Currently Larry serves on the Board of Directors at the Episcopal Church of the
Advent in Kennett Square along with the Board of Directors with Historic Kennett
Square. Previously Larry was past president of the local Rotary Club and United
Way. He is a past Board of Director member of Chester County 2020, and was
very active in both KAU Little League Baseball along with the Kennett American
Legion Baseball Team. He was a part of the 1st Kennett Square Revitalization
Board in the early 1980's along with many other community organizations. Larry,
along with fellow Kennett Square Resident, Mike Walker, are spearheading a
campaign for the "Kennett Square Gateway Project." This non-profit project will
provide a beautiful entrance along State St and will include an expanded YMCA,
a new Library, along with an improved Anson B. Nixon Park. Larry and his wife
Irene have been Kennett Square residents for the past 30 years. In his spare
time Larry enjoys spending time with his family, home improvement projects,
traveling, and watching sports.
